Picture by Alan Ayers * * * I lose all sense of direction Whenever I'm not with you I seem to be at quite a loss Not knowing what to do Everything loses its color Whenever you're not there The flowers lose their fragrance My life seems to be so bare The sun forgets to shine And the birds no longer sing There is sadness in my heart No joy does this day bring The stars lose their lustre The sky is no longer blue Inside me it is raining As my heart pines for you The clouds have no silver lining The sand is cold beneath my feet But things will return to normal When you and I next meet * * * "In our life there is a single color, as on an artist's palette which provides the meaning of life and art. It is the color of love" I am in motion |

Oh, Sue, your poems are so soft and romantic. This one made me sad for I can sense how much you miss him. That's good writing in my book. |

Sue, your poetry has always been wonderful, but like some fine cognac sittng in a cellar, it is just getting smoother, and sweeter, as the days go by... I really enjoyed this! |
