Between the Lines

Between Covers

It came, words
tumbling out of the box,
visions and voices
and reflections of understanding,
bounded by our deepest needs.

We are the words of heart,
owning our beliefs, raising our falls
to descend into another world,
where the other side of the mirror
calls our name.

Where eyes open
to the joy of morning,
and a season takes us
where the twilight never ends.

Where we are transported out of loneliness
and centered into a universe
that unchains our feelings,
unbottles our emotions
and forgives us our scars.

A journey between covers,
"Only to pause and never end."

Dear Maureen, I think you speak for so many of us.

This is a lovely thank you, and a heart warming tribute to Ron and all the wonderful poets who are bound between the covers.

I reckon I'm too new here to really understand all the talk about "books" and such...and I guess I haven't done enough research...someone please tell me of the poetry that is "between the covers", so I can be in the know.

A wonderful way of saying thank you and a great tribute to Ron.

There was one called Voices on the Web, one called Visions on the Web, and Reflections which was just mailed out to us all during the last 2 weeks or so.

Marge, thanks..I had just opened them last night and today I was starting to warm myself by the fire and they fell into my lap...and I began to leaf through not knowing which to read first.

Then thought, well I need to write a poem this morning to get me in the right spirit..and the above is what tumbled out...

Barry, thank you for feeling the same and responding as such..I couldn't think of a birthday poem for Ron yesterday, so I am glad I waited.
