Sold my cheapest thought to a man asking for “change” Refunded and forgot, The currency exchanged is blame Wrote a message in a card for a smile Drawers hiding pictures A heart without file If I could see from afar I’d close my eyes in front of your stars Hear you breathe Inhale emotional sickness I’ll set you free In the company of clouds Tears going out of business I found myself looking down thinking about gravity An Angel whispered “it doesn’t last long” The sensible insanity Strays from home A winter running from spring’s ease I’m still here, Disputing all we were, All we are A closing statement reduced to a card If only my watch forgot about time But if you’re inclined Bury the hatchets that we find In the last field on the heal, called “Valentine’s”. |

An interesting write, very well done. Melancholic ... but hope is not lost. Love, Margherita |
