I look up today as I did yesterday; the promise of rain has gone far away in search of a land where mankind avows seeds of true love have died in the ground. But it’s love when I feel a stirring within arise from the depths of my worldly sin and shoot past the pain of long ago days packed solidly round the base of dismay. I look up today as I did yesterday calmed by the sight of unhindered terrain that instinctively knows how to satisfy needs and bring to fruition a bud from a seed. And as I send up my wish for release I see how it fragments from its centerpiece and spreads evenly between realities like a hug for a child, a kiss for the weak. I look up today as I did yesterday but I don’t expect rain to fall here today for way over there, somewhere over there, so many more seeds lie thirsty and bare. But a shower, a drop, a promise for me, to help me believe my seeds will receive! Helen |
