Magnolia carries the scent of candles Neatly touching my forehead Like folding June, and its critical deadlines Just inches from my puckered lips Which defies gravity & routine egos! The heat of wings, dying my hair green Sweating in the lap of steamy creation Of even Divinity, ambiguous strangers of sorts Who believe in themselves, despite the loss of 21 Grams Advertising reincarnation….proudly Somewhere dogs howl to grasp my attention And they do, but world-weariness sets new laws Primordial low voices eat vegetables they grew And they can the results Homegrown brew! Aware of no hazard, from the miasma of voodoo Humanity is Zesty and Complete, Unbeknown, like a thief in the night Stealing my dreams…my plateaus, you name it!!!! I’ve fallen down and I can’t get up Yet, imagination becomes a beggar Seeking a new partner Sounds weaves me a white wedding dress gleaming with mauve tea roses My tailor and I become a twosome Who woulda ever thought, tire tracks could find themselves? |
