Peeling

By peeling of each layers lie
The feelings of forever die.
Prodigious and insidious
And some would say perfidious

It seems illusion brought to bloom
Is striped away by changing doom
And leaves no error on the board
Erosion by the Eros lord

I see in waking ever day
An add of weigh a hair of gray
A mist upon illusions grace
The echo of the mirrors face

The meaning is a mystery
I cannot sort the history
I cannot stay the bloom from rot
Nor can I seem untie the knot

So time will sew me in the end
And grime will blow me round the bend

Interesting, that only yesterday
my research on a new book is echoed
in your words of today...
which, as you have now given us,
will live, forever...

[and amen to that!]

I've been seeing some of that gray mist the last few years myself, so I can appreciate you point of view!  Keep 'em comin'!   Have a great day, Seymour!

Well, there may be a new silver hair every now and then .... but to compensate there is your golden poetic vein flowing powerfully down the page!
Love and hugs. Margherita

Take another look in that mirror, T-Man! Your bloom is never going to rot! You will always have a sweet face that makes the ladies Sy, and twinkling eyes that captivate and charm the young and old alike!

EA
P.S. Be thankful for the weigh of every gray hair! Toupees are such a nuisance to care for!
