Oh but the quiver of one’s lip....just as a
tear falls silently in rivulet to a waiting
touch.    When life so burdens the hand
resting still, quiet upon the empty page.

Silence fills the great expanse of a mind
swirling in moments, seeking a path,
worn and true....looking into the dark of
night in search of one gleaming star...
Waiting...ever waiting.

A small fire crackles, sending tiny embers
of hope skyward as wisps of smoke tickle
the nose.  Coffee brews slowly, awaiting
the touch of weathered hands, the sip of
moist lips...the closing of eyes as dreams
come hesitantly into one’s imagination..

Bring to me the hope that I might again
dream.  Cast into the abyss demons who
haunt and quell the tide of what awaits
the hand’s light touch.

Free me, that I might again write, that
I might again smile at the star which
guided me....that I might again find
home...

Beautifully flowing Barry, with a tender prayer-like quality that left me with a sigh. Very much enjoyed this!

Best wishes,

Magnus, this is a prayer which speaks silently inside me when I am at a loss for words.  You expressed those feelings so well.   ....jo

Hello Barry

I could so relate to your words and it is so nice to see your familiar face here again.  I very rarely come here now but when I do I always look for you.  I wish for you much love and happiness my friend as I send my warmest regards across the miles.

Take care..........Sue

Yea, I wish it would free me so I could write again too Maggie....but, till then, I'll just keep throwing my garbage on these blue pages until I can come up with something that may have a touch of meaning...like this one did...well done..
