That Elusive Breath

Sensed a breath in the air,
a taste of you,
but like so many ripples in the wind,
it came and went.
Like you
it was gone as it arrived,
a touch, a smell, a taste
that left me wanting,
cherishing,
remembering ,
lifting my face to the breeze,
seeking that elusive breath,
that wonderful taste,
of you.

I'm often struck silent at how close love poetry is to spiritual poetry...

this could be about a love (or lover) or about that sacred moment's peace that disappears the second one acknowledges it.

Either way, it shows your gentle heart, j.

Beautiful.

this is laced in pure gold!

The sound of silence calls,
I hear your voice and suddenly
I'm falling, lost in a dream
The echo of our souls meet
