Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-04-05 01:38 PM

Slipping In……………….

May I slip in?

Just to read?

May I sigh
quietly
at this encompassing
compassion
you've name
poetry?

May I slip in?

Just to feel?

Hear the heartstring
song
so real…

May I slip out?

So silently
taking my
tears away,
for you see,
you have
touched the heart
of me
when I silently
slipped in
to read
you.

A day becomes
so quietly
a dream,

and your words
soon sound
so serene,

bringing music
to wind my soul ~

I wonder, was that
your goal?

You did it,
just so.

May I slip back in
to your embrace?
Softly now
and with light grace,
may I lay a finger
to your face
to trace
a lip,

a brow,

for you have touched
me vast

somehow.

Then

I shall slip away
and take with me
all you say
and keep it
                     here…

privately…

just your words

embracing me.

When next
I slip in
to read
know please sir
I am smiling
most pleasantly

when I rest
my eyes on
you.

Karilea this is brightly written and so worthy of being published.

Loved it and am keeping it!

I hear your voice and suddenly
I'm falling, lost in a dream
