I listened to her Chew her carrots That skinny little figure Pale and smiley Wouldn’t stop Preaching About the “evil” Of meat I got fed up What else could I do? Summoned the waiter Asked for A big, juicy, medium-rare Steak My vegetarian friend Was having a fit As I chewed Each half bloody Piece of meat I could see Those “chlorophyll” eyes Following my fork All the way to my mouth I tried to make noises Like a dog Once in while I stopped and stared At that person Who now Was in state of shock My eyes were like A hungry lion’s As she slowly Got up and left As I ate I had the impression My canines were Growing So I put the steak aside Summoned the waiter And asked for A nice green, crispy, Healthy salad. |

I need to explain this poem above. I wrote it taking into consideration both sides of the coin: vegetarian and meat eaters. I love meat, but I know it does look disgusting to some people who don't like it. So, I change from one side to another in the poem, at the end, eating a salad. I would like some help here, in the vocabulary and structure as well. Sometimes, when I read this poem, it sounds disgusting...then, I read it again, and I think it's sounds different and interesting. I accept your feedbacks...whatever they may be. Thanks Tais |

(chuckling)..I find this amusing..and true to human nature in some ways...that we indulge in our own endeavors at times to shock people for what ever the reason.. eating meat in front of a vegetarian to me..is no more offensive than a vegetarian eating a salad in front of me... but..I am or can be rather insensitive to the very sensitive natures of some... |

Off the cuff, I thought it interesting and amusing. I will come back to see if there is anything I would change, were I writing from your seat. I enjoyed it. |

I had to giggle here...my 16 year old daughter doesn't eat meat, so I can relate |

(big angel hugs) Though I am not a vegetarian, I limit my intake of meat as I love all animals and am sensitive when I see them living and truly do not wish anything to be slaughtered, so I do feel guilty quite so often and believe soon I will convert to tofu and stir-fried vegetables! (sigh) I understand the insensitivity of such things, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tais, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |

My opinion...it was great, I was interested in it from beginning to end, and it made me laugh inside as well. Great job! ~ARH love and hugs Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH |
