Listening to every heart

Here Some Come

Here they come, anticipated as any
Tulip, daffodil, or hyacinth…
April….the month of Poets.

Soon, soon, it will be now,
Here, in a small Midwestern city
Readying to host those with the most
(seeking those who will come)
and
(Anticipation honing a yet possibly poetic soul)
It will begin….

A young/perhaps not so young
Gentle man poet artist, [even two women will
Weigh into the equal of equality] This author of six volumes
[Gads…what contains young?   Volumes that begin in ‘85?
In this century?]

This finalist has stood for a Pulitzer…I know… I know…
I shall sit…enraptured, watching a future…hero…
But…the best moment?

Having an eldest grandchild [almost twelve, Grandma]
Sitting with me…
And I believe…I truly believe

Through the tears of what I might hear
I know, I know, that

All I shall study
Is her face.

We await the poet,

Who is about to be born.

~*~

To be continued, through the month of a life….

Ahhh I see you both enjoyed your day out together.

Wonderful Karilea... I'm waiting for her too.

Very lovely dear Karilea.

May the muse share her gifts abundantly during this special Poetry month.

Three generations of poets! That's great!

Love, Margherita

as lovely as the spring breeze blowing...
