A repost because... I can. Err, because of too many lone walks in the rain.

In traveling this country road
You’ll find the people here alone.
Though stars alight the velvet sky,
Smiles fade unknown.

The moon exists to wane away,
And friends aren’t on this barren land.
The people cry alone at night,
And no one offers out their hand.

The trees here stand so proud and tall,
The wind swirls steady with the rain,
But traveling this country road
You’ll find a people, filled with pain.

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.

Hi GG. I like this. I like the rhyme scheme. Besides I live on a country road. LOL! In all honesty this is a great poem. Bravo.

Dix,
You're in mine, too...

EvocativeVerse2,
Thank you! I take a few too many walks alone on cold nights. I think I scare the neighbors ( a very fun thing to do)

Hello Alyssa

You words were so very sad.  You, my friend, will never be alone.  Although we may be far in distance our words keep us close at heart.

For you :

GG -- this almost sounds like it could be a song.  I've missed reading you.  I've been away a couple of weeks, looks like I've missed a lot!   ........jo

Alyssa,
   You must be on the wrong country road;
go to Ohio and turn left and go straight for about forty miles; there are lots of friendly country roads here waiting for
just such a person!  Glad to see one of your post again.  I'dbeen wondering how you were doing.  Take care, Cutie.

Marge,
sounds like a deal! I do have some interesting stories about people who've tried to follow and find me while I was on walks. But generally people can tell I'm not someone to mess with while on night walks. But if I like ya then I'm nothin but a teddy bear! thanks for your reply!

jo,
sure not missed much from me, I've been out, too! Missed reading everyone too, but I've just been out of time. So good to hear from you though, thank you for replying

vandana,
I'm glad you like it, thanks so much.

Sadie,
maybe so.. actually, my road isn't terribly countryish, not compared to other places. Actually I love my road, I just hate being alone. Sometime I'll have to find that road there in Ohio sounds nice! thanks for replying, it's always good to hear from you.
