Sacrificial Love

Sure, I may stare from a far
I may look at him longedly
Only to quickly glance away
As soon as he looks at my face
Yeah, I may avoid eye contact sometimes
And I may purposely not speak to him
But only because inside I am shacking frantically
Afraid he'll think any less of me
Sometimes I may dish info
About him from my friends
I'll admit I wish he would talk to me more often
I'll admit I will not make the first move
But, this feeling inside of me
One of which I only feel,
When he is around me
Is stronger than any scent from a rose
Or the heat from the sun
Just to see him smile once
Laugh until it hurts
Gives me a sensation of love
Could I be in love?
Ah, how good it would be
For I love my parents,
But I do not get butterflies in
My stomach just when I hear their voice
I love my friends,
But my stomach does not
Twist and knot when I see their face
This feeling is different
Than anything I've ever felt before
It feels good,
        Yet I feel confused
This love is different
It is unconditional and pure
But with this feeling comes a
Sacrifice.

A sacrifice of a love,
That shall never be returned.

"Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile."

take a chance, and go and say hello
don't let moments slip by because of shyness,
maybe he would be flattered you think so well of him

Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.
