I'd love to be the man My kids all think I am I'd like to be a scholar, Or maybe Superman I wish I sang like Elvis From octaves high to low Singing gospel and some country And a little Rock and Roll It would be nice to have the looks Of that guy they often use On the cover of that magazine The one they call G.Q. If I had the knowledge, And the expertise you all show here I'd be a profound poet, Like the master Balladeer. But to be like Balladeer, I'd have to make some changes, Gain 90 pounds and change my voice To effiminate high ranges. |
