From sleep awakened by oven-warmth suffocating skin;
Though snowflakes swagger outside, the cool doesn’t come within.
The fan oscillates with window cracked, only stirring webs and dust.

To feel alivened, a shower’s water, hot spiking,
Reviving forehead, nose and cheeks.
Crispened until the water cools;
Then shivering, the cycle begins again.

The blanket too warm but without, too cool.

Y'know...I cleaned a few windows inside and out last night, removed some cobwebs, left the windows open...

it's that time of 'twixt and 'tween...

it's called the "awakening..."

Sunshine,
   Washing windows is not a bad idea.  I'm not quite up to it yet; you might say I'm still recovering from surgery.  I know--excuses, excuses!
   I will reread your response for motivation. Thanks.

DavePage,
  Thank you for your interesting response.    I think you read into more of it than was meant to be.  I am flirting with a temperature.
  May I thank you for your most considerate response.  Be sure to visit again.

Eternity's Horizon,
  How very sweet, as if you are reading my needs.  I appreciate the advice.  You are a mystery and a blessing.

How thoughtful of you to comment.  Yes, I'm mending, but becoming a little impatient.  I want to get out there and swim. I found it was so healthy for my mind-I miss it.  I'm hoping in a couple of weeks, I might try.
(It was a relatively simple surgery but still have some pain.  The doctor gave me pain killers, but I haven't taken them in a couple of days, as they have a slight consequence, too.  Anyway, it lessens every day until I do something smart like try to bend over to pick up a sock or drive without a pillow tucked on lap.   I've wondered if you are on the mend. Are you running a fever?  If you stop here again, e-mail me and let me know.  Take care, Linda.  I hope your feeling better.

Oh, sweet Sadie, "are you running a fever?" lol Oh, how I wish that that was all it has been! I wrote in my reply to your reply (to my poem "Angel Blessings") that if you go into "Discussion" at the top of the screen and then click on "Links & Announcements", you'll see "Hello, my friends! Love Earth Angel". That should answer your questions, Dear One.

I'm pleased that you are recovering from your surgery!

~ May you soon be back into the "swim" of things!

Warm, healing hugs,
Linda

Earth Angel-you certainly are!  Thank you.

Vandana, thank you.  Smile sent.  I haven't forgotten a duet.  I'm looking forward to attempting a first.

Passing Shadow, you are lucky, but we got some of your weather luck today.  I was outdoors long enough to pull the tractor out of the mud with the jeep.  It was tempting to stay out longer.  Thank you for bopping by,
             Sadie

Paul,
  Thanks for the compliment; I'm feeling better everyday.  Although there's still discomfort, my spirits have picked up.  Thanks for your concern.  You are a very caring individual.
