Between you and me I’ve got something to say from a script prepared on an invisible scroll bound with ribbons blue, white, and red, gold, like the sea and the sky when they say goodbye. But what if I stumble and skip a few lines or the chapter that found you and I side by side and proceeded to read from the then to the now in a voice loud and harsh with echoes of pride? Why nothing, my friend, for it’s simply “un-cool” to bask in the glory of love’s give and take in our haste to partake of a transient sex life and build for ourselves a vast pleasure park. So I’ll skip out the part that encompasses heart and speak of the this, that, this, that, that, that, from words edge to edge on reality’s board hung on a wall in the sight of you all. At the end of a day the sun says goodbye, the far away sea simply rolls with the tide, both invisible, yes, till captured, held, penned, in the folds of another’s intangible scroll! Helen |

So I’ll skip out the part that encompasses heart and speak of the this, that, this, that, that, that, from words edge to edge on reality’s board Such a powerful poem, and yet so soft around the edges. Reminds me of that song, "How deep is your love", not sure exactly why. Wonderful writing, as always~ Hugs Helen~ |
