(For an entire year now the Iraq war, a war brought upon by raw hatred, manipulation and dishonesty, continues to reel on, I stand as a patriot of peace and believe in the Abbie Hoffman notion, ""Peace is a very complicated concept. When the lion gobbles up the lamb and wipes his lips, then there's peace. Well, I ain't for that peace at all."

To put it clearer, I do not support any war and never will, as war only creates more fear, more hatred, more suffering. You cannot be a true believer in peace if you hold a club or bullet. So I repeat once again the question, "Why do we look the other way?"

When the rich wage war,
it's the poor who die,
how many years can you live in fear,
before you're allowed to be free?
I still believe freedom,
can't be offered by the oppressor,
when will we see the miracle of the sunrise,
and identify the golden opportunity?

You are what you believe in,
you are the dream,
and you are the wish,
and you are the future,
in doing the best you can,
to have the soils grazed,
with one peace, one love
so why do we look the other way?



Pulling up tents on the White House lawn,
no one ever seems to notice,
flooding the streets wavin' your freak flags high,
only gets you in trouble nowadays.
Plastic fingers point at you,
down linolium highways,
"Either you're with us or against us",
a recurring sad, sad phrase...

You are what you believe in,
you are the dream,
and you are the wish,
and you are the future,
in doing the best you can,
to have the soils grazed,
with one peace, one love
so why do we look the other way?

Dare you,
to look the other way...



Meanwhile the politicians show interest,
in things that have no meaning.
Revolt, disorder, control,
fostering false answers and questions no one asks.
When I look to the sun,
I still see the miracle,
with love we can still save the world,
try it sometime...
