Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-03-17 10:27 PM

I love you.

You are the dream I’ve held
So tight!

You are the love I’ve known
Since birth!

You have played hide and seek
Oh how you love to peek…

And I know you are here,
On earth.

You are the come and go
Of life

You are the groom, ready
For wife

You are the love
I’ve held, so tight

You are the light,
In shadows of night.

I love you.

A child who wishes to dream

A sound in search of scream

A time in search of sound

And in this, we come around.

I love you.

This, is all I have to give;
This, is all I have, to live;
Giving is what I know, to do…
This, a poem, I leave, to you.

This…

Is love.

I read this and immediately thought...

beautifully profound

I am not sure if that makes sense, but that is what I thought. Enjoyed!

Sunshine,
I really like the transformation in writing I've seen in the last six months of being here.  You've always had a way with words, but I believe I like these shorter poems even better than the longer ones I first read of yours, if possible.  How much better could one descibe than?
"You are the come and go
Of life"

I could have printed every lovely word here!
Decisions, decisions.   But no decision about taking this to the library.  That's a given!

I think you just defined that most elusive term 'love' the best way I've ever seen it defined.

This is love, oh yes it is.
You've penned it beautifully Karilea, one to cherish.. so I'm keeping it.
