Twiddle Dumb

Softly, softly twiddle dumb
Beat upon his little drum
In metaphor of mind you know
A little sun to make it so

And as he thought upon the day
He came upon some thoughts astray
Of happenings you know the kind
A thorn that stays within the mind

Here he stopped to vegetate
The up and down of past relate
The smiles and riles of mystic Isles
This champagne with a touch of bile

He never really understood
The psyche of her womanhood
The tender of a flowers hour
Or the power of its dower

A mind that could not reach across
To touch the magic golden floss

Excellent read this morning Sy!
Very much enjoyed.
