Singing ever so softly in whispers transcendent First wisp of dawning in hyaline hues Calls out to Helios in hushed voice resplendent Awaken… Dawn is perhaps like a fairy with wings translucent Appearing diurnal afraid of night’s shadows, But too fragile to survive sun’s sear omnipotent. Awaken… Begone shadowed cloak of midnight’s ebon skies, As evening’s stars and moon in evanescence flee Before new day's dawn, advent of yesterday’s reprise. Awaken… Awaken earth and all its creatures as night is swept From welkin skies by gentle breeze of dawn’s first breath As dawning unshackles yet another day, from over distant mountains kept, Awaken… |
