You see such wonderful things in others and fail to see the good in me. I cannot keep up in the race. I am destined to be the loser. Like the characters in the fable- I am foolishly the hare. If only I could be the tortoise Slow and steady with confidence. But the years of cuts and blows In words and in deeds Have stripped me of my soul and the strength to persist. Am I even deserving of the medal? [This message has been edited by Youngatheart (03-14-2004 06:24 PM).] |

So sad-- and yet very true in some cases. |

Very pessimistic, dear Youngatheart. And yes, this happens! Within these few words you tell a whole story. Well done! Btw, I missed you! Love, Margherita |
