Karen, were you looking for me? (limerick)

week days she runs through pip with a look
five or six chapters a day, her head is in a book
running the obstacle course with those half her age
and all of this pain, to watch those in a cage
to better learn to cuff a good guy (giggle) and a crook

this sunburn I’m getting will turn to a tan
well, that what I tell myself, over and over as I ran
the drill sergeants hate us and screams in our face
they are trying to break us, always being on our case
I just smile (cussing under my breath), quitting is not in my plan

poetry is my life, not my livelihood
and if now I could be with you, you know that I would
do not worry, in sixteen weeks I will be back
but for now I have to keep up with the wolf pack
you are my home and for me that is understood

all of this to be the best woman I can be
oh my God, I have pulled another muscle (I didn’t know) was under my knee
every day I leave the academy with my hair, stomach, and muscles in a knot
but every day I go back to prove, what it takes, I have got
but for now, I have to, do this for me

gleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Glad that I found you, too!

And when you get the chance?

Drop by my little party? There's a few bootcamp stories you might relate to there. Smile. See Ringo and Susan's threads (round about page 9 or 10...)

Love ya lady...and I'll not be challenging you, or Susan to an armwrestling match. (ringo? maybe...giggle)

Oh Helen!!! I am so proud of you!!

I went to the Navy's equiv. of the police academy...it was one of the hardest things I did (with the exception that 8 lb baby girl I popped out) but your words reminded me how much I loved it, and how much I miss law enforcement...

I need to practise my take down moves...any volunteers??

And Helen, we want to hear every detail!!!

I am sure you are not at all the type to quit!

Too smart!

My best wishes.
Love, Margherita
