They cannot wake: dormant, unconscious now Still fast asleep, tucked deep in white bunting; Branches and twigs, are as stiff as harp-strings, I can hear the cold finger-wind strumming. * Their limbs are all tipped with tiny balled-fists, Curled around memory, they wait the new year; In cellulose cars, they trip towards their destiny Waiting ejection in warmer spring air. * Patient, they respite in winter storms, do not debate Like we who window-watch, their seeming dead display. Aloof, the life inside the buds await, a higher arching sun; And wake assists of tepid rains, to burgeon them in May. |

(does happy spring dance) Yay! Spring is my favorite season of all because everything blooms; all the baby birds hatch, all the crickets sing again, all the butterflies take flight, it is the most happiest season, yay! (big angel hugs) I can't wait for Groundhog Day, hoping spring comes sooner, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ford, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |

Very nice reminder that all things dormant are not lost... "sit on top of the world and tell me how you feel...'cause what you feel is what I feel for you.." |

Aloof, the life inside the buds await, a higher arching sun; Oh isn't that just the way it is!! I've been watching my bulbs sprouting bits of green, and each day there is just a little more. Yes, the flowers will bloom again... That was my take anyway, and the thought is lovely to me. Thanks. |

Noah Thank you, I am glad this poem made you do the " happy dance".....;-) * Susan C. Exactly "all things dormant are not lost" The buds are like promises, all we have to do is believe them.....:-) * Sunshine Thank you for commenting....:-) I am unaware of any challenge, if you read this, please send me the link that tells of it. * Richy Yes, the seasons are amazing...but I do like all of them, even winter....thank you for reading and the nice comments. * Seymour Thank you for reading this poem , and moreso for enjoying it....:-) * Passing Shadows Thanks for the thumbs up.....:-) * BluesSerenade The "aloof" line is my favorite in the poem, thank you for quoting it...:-) You must live way south of me, I haven't seen the ground in 6 weeks much less any bulbs popping up..The dormant buds I spoke of here are on a wild plum and forsythias nearby..."Yes the flowers will bloom again...you had the right "take" * ARH Yes, love is waiting to blossom, but people can flower year 'round, aren't we lucky?.....:-) * Thank you all for reading and commenting...:-) _______ice ><> |

Hi Ice, Say, I just wanted to mention that if you leave the nose part ( - ) out of the various smiley face's, then they will automatically appear as the actual little yellow smiley faced icons. There's a lot more information if you click on the member's area tab on the top of this page. After that, you can scroll down to, "Available Graphics" and see all the other ones that can done automatically too. I hope you don't mind me telling you this. The way you're doing it looks fine. That's the way I was doing it too. Well, until (and don't tell anybody this... shhhh) I found this out yesterday... lol I'm sorry I made such a mess in your thread...:} I just thought I'd pass this on Take Care, Richy |

ice, I liked this! Your words were very well chosen for your message. They flowed as slickly as oil throughout your poem. I especially liked this. They cannot wake: dormant, unconscious now Still fast asleep, tucked deep in white bunting; Branches and twigs, are as stiff as harp-strings, I can hear the cold finger-wind strumming. Enjoyed... ~Sadelite~ |

Richy Thank you for the tips, I am pretty computer challenged...it is nice to have help with these things.... You didn't mess up my thread, what you said was helpful * LeeJ Thank you for commenting. I sure could use some "tepid rain" It has not been above freezing here in 5 weeks...I am in north central Pa. by the way....So I know you are familiar to what I am saying. * iliana..... Thank you for the nice reply....lovely is a beautiful word to see in a comment....... * Sadelite Thank you, I am working hard to make my flow better, especially in poems such as this that need to be lyrical...Thank you for commenting... * ________ice ><> |
