In a long line of poetic behest To answer every ailing walking waking person’s request When asked what would I, a lonely poet do If I were to know morning’s shadows and nighttime’s dew… It was beseeched, what would I do? As my heart raised, then fell, in search of a clue My response would fall short, for no god am I, So I stated, with the heaviest of sighs… ~*~ I would do, Sire, what be best For everyone must pass a test And yet all tests be fickle, as in life we've ever Soured our pickles or loved a sore-willed wife better... What choice have I but to lend free will? And let the populace choose playbills For how they sit their own sound stage And play to those who earn less wage? Each power ridden man who be A face upon eternity Is less, don't you know, by his behest To conquer life in search of best... And each one who rides the ass in life Is bedridden by a faithful wife He knows he cannot lose to live And continues in his life to give.... T’would be so, I fear it's true The answer you seek is not in view Yet power of will is what I would seek To cancel the powerful from the weak... For power is not but His alone Yet power he gives in that we, atone... In ways that make only sense to us... As He smiles with little to no fuss.... And gives us no for an answer, true That we find the truth in answers, we do, And is not that a will, of sorts? Woulds't now I hear any sound retort? |

Nothing like being deep in thought, you've got me going Fair Lady. keeping it. M Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder. |

"For power is not but His alone Yet power he gives in that we, atone... In ways that make only sense to us... As He smiles with little to no fuss...." Especially liked the above stanza -- but really, really thought it was one of your most special pennings yet, Karilea. It was deeply thought through and I can feel your sincerely in writing it. .......jo |
