when floods of emotion o’erflow my wearied heart, when cold-steel strength gives way to sentient dreams and tears of public solitude course down the streams of cascaded aqueducts fixed like facades that start the windowed glaze of soul’s decided daze to grow into rivulets of sentiment strained through eyes of fear that keeps the tortured silent soul in check so near and bids the joy of cleansing rain to freely flow that feeds the pangs of aspiration to fully express the spirit’s need for physical release in waves of desire surfing like sea stones in rhythmic oceanic attire and waking the psyche to realms of calm redress I flee to the core of heart-fenced gardens of fascination free And feel the warmth that comes from within the very me of me. |

And this is why I love sonnets; there's just something about them that brings out the eloquence of the writer. This write was enjoyed very much. I don't know why I'm the only one to comment on this so far. |

And what a beautiful garden it is, Steaver. I love these images: "the windowed glaze of soul’s decided daze to grow into rivulets of sentiment strained through eyes of fear that keeps the tortured silent soul in check so near and bids the joy of cleansing rain to freely flow" I love the whole poem, over and over. And saving it in my library. ~K~ |
