I know that you’re hurting now Tears fall from your eyes Yet I never meant to make you cry Just wanted to say farewell goodbye… As I turned to leave walk out your life My own tears fell shooting stars in the night Still I smiled as they run down my face For I knew I’d come back to you You’re arms opened wide… All the memories I held inside I’d travel to them, as I lay asleep at night a thousand dreams brought to life by you Always ending with your arms opened wide… So many years since I’ve reopened my heart Travelled back to the memories of you Hoping one day you’re arms would close With me locked in-between lips pressed against yours… Thinking back to the start of my pain I acted so distantly towards the end Hiding my feelings within my heart Leaving you fearing you never felt the same What I felt deep down inside A love that still has never run dry… Now in my old age ive rotted away But still the memories of you Stay forever in my mind Never decaying over years over time… I breathe my last breath Kiss the world goodbye Fade into the light that surrounds Travel into your open arms tonight… a thousand dreams once not spoken Springing to life as I stay in your arms Finally resting in our hearts Eternal love forever in heaven above… |
