Your silence no longer fills me with sorrow but I won't ever forget for you will always have a permanent place high on a shelf so as not to break me remembering the way I used to feel and how much I loved. When running my hands over your curves and planes refusing to feel the imperfections considered abstract I suppose turning over fine lines and the etchings you drew in my eyes accepting the fact that we were not so unique after all. Yet my thoughts of you seem more fragile today when in reality they are safer there placed away from the edge of my fears pushed back where my tears used to fall in place of my heart, beside yours. |

Lori I think love is always kept someplace. A place where it can no longer hurt you...if there is such a place, is good. Enjoyed the use of metaphor here..and the thoughts you brought me. Thanks..and a hug |

Bluesey Nice poem, enjoyed reading it..I like the way you use puctuation in a minimal way, it adds to the feeling of the poems words, leaves the reader a little brethless at the end of each stanza. __________ice ><> |

Yet my thoughts of you seem more fragile today when in reality they are safer there placed away from the edge of my fears pushed back where my tears used to fall in place of my heart, beside yours. i know, i know, but i hate when i have to bury it, but it just has to be sometimes that way, so to avoid those endless tears, love this my dear blonde poetrygirl |

Very good to read you again bluesy... it's always easier to compartmentalize eh? it gets noisy in our brains though eventually -- which is why loud music is good.. |

B: I feel like we've just had a heart to heart chat about this very subject and you put my feelings into words. This reality is difficult and sad, and I know no other way than to keep it on the shelf. It is love, after all. ~K~ |

The dream love....and the real -- you balance them so well, keep yourself at the perfect center with such finesse. I wish I had the knack, and I wish I'd written this poem. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
