I said I would love you forever in the misty haze of summers past you didn't speak any words but your eyes said it all we listened to the radio we thought we knew what love was but we were in over our heads this thing was bigger and better than us it was more than us, greater than us and then it ate us alive and those calm talks were no more and one day you left and as i sat and watched you walk away from the porch where we had had so much fun i wasn't sad or glad or mad there was no emotion or feeling that could describe the thoughts i had it was an utter lack of being i was at that moment completely devoid of feeling and not the least bit sentimental people come and people go some mean more than others and i knew that in a little while i wouldn't even remember your name the only people for me are the mad ones-mad to live, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at once--jack kerouac [This message has been edited by noah j (02-25-2004 10:10 PM).] |

This is an interesting write noah. I think if you checked your spelling before posting, it would make the meaning much clearer to the reader. Still in all, a good poem. Chris "At one glance |
