they rage, blow
A gathering wall
of desperate echoes
roll across the eastern sky
shadow me in darkness
Then
i will hear your cry
and it will burn
white, molten
Sear
a conscience
dipped in salt water
again
again
and again
Till i smell the earth
in all your wonder
and taste sweet drops
of forgiving rain
