When you’re walking round your boundaries And you’re dreaming then to find The gate of opportunity, found open in your mind You wander through to pastures that are luscious and so green But is that place much better than the place in which you’ve been? Thoughts are only echoes that speak whispers to the soul As prayers and dreams and fairytales appear to make us whole The words of demon promise are just lies which draw us in How many burn from passion and by leaving just to sin? There’s a soul mate living with us, it’s the conscience of our mind Discussing every angle, searching answers hard to find But also there’s the traitor who with evils way will tread To keep us dizzy spinning as we search our road ahead Each one of us is changing; we’re not as once before We may just want a little less, or hell, a whole lot more But we must ride the seesaw and weigh each end the same For life is lived through balance and through learning we remain We’re a puzzle made of pieces, all so complex yet so weak Relying on its bond and strength so we can further seek What lies beyond our vision and so deep in futures eye? There’s answers out there waiting for the many asking why? |
