THE RAIN FALLS And today the rain falls in a desperate way like tears unable to experience cheeks or a man on the edge of forgiveness of sin or a woman before the fulfillment of dreams. I stand barely wet; retreat or seek more, as mind faces soul in the circle of needs like sun and moon vie for supremacy before sinking back into what has to be. Soul born entwined with soft body parts mummified in the sense of unable to fly entices the mind to consider its needs and reflect on the ground its ardent desire. The wisdom of mind retained like the rain merely grows and enlarges above ecstasy and soul is denied the full pleasure of earth until heart pierces through this reality. I wait for the rain to bring forth new life as a true composite of heart, soul, and mind! Helen |

Helen...I see so much of the beauty of you in your writing, that sometimes it's hard to say how much your words touch me into knowing you. |

"The wisdom of mind retained like the rain merely grows and enlarges above ecstasy and soul is denied the full pleasure of earth until heart pierces through this reality." You make me humble. Thank you Helen; as always, your poetry takes me places I can not reach alone. |

Hi, Martie. I guess the more I write the more I see and come to know as well. Thank you for always reading. Hello Dear Icebox, There are many things in life that humble us but sadly we aren't most times big enough to admit it. I thank you for appreciating what I'm trying to say and I hope I'm doing so in a delicate and simple manner. You do, of course, continue to inspire me with your own insights. Thank you. Passing Shadows - Hi! If this made you see rain in another way then I am glad. Thanks for the read. |
