"I see beyond," she says. "I see with the vision of an Eagle. What many do not see...I can see." And, she offers her arm to the Eagle as he hovers in weightless flight. She offers more than a perch it is a connection with the brave spirits of mighty men, of warriors. Her heart is gladdened as the Eagle passes over just a shadow haunting her heart with surprise, with a secret admiration. She sees herself floating weightlessly in the heavens, white clouds lifting her to altitudes only dreamed of. And, she marvels at the beauty of her new dark feathers, glossy brown with a yellow breastplate. She and the Eagle sharing in the secrets of fanciful flight, ~~~~~of gliding strength, ~~~~~~~~and of power. |

Ivy, I always love when you write this theme....something so mystical and magical about it, that takes the reader on a journey into other times and places. |

And she flies free of the bounds of human flesh ...lifted on eagle wings into the night. Has that mystical "first nation" feel to it, love the feeling of fredom in this, Ivy Rose. _________ice ><> |

I love to read of Native American culture and so, of course, I really enjoyed this poem. Great work, Ivy Rose! |
