Gifting He gifts a coup of memories view Made of mornings crystal dew As flowers whisper wistful sighs The fragrance of a love-gone bye Underneath a sky of blue Dreaming in a mental coup Reeling in a fields appeal More real to him than any real As Jasper as translucent stone Shining through familiar tone Making mimes of happy past On strings that hold forever’s last An heir in symbols sweet estate He lives the past in full elate The playing of a piano-roll A figment of his heart and soul And in the grace he smiles in sleep Without a trace of tear in weep |
