The Gutter Boy Belly down and defeated, I'm scratching my horrid way along the stinking, dirty curbside. "O! Death bring me your sweet release" I scream. My blackened eyes gaze about for any who hear my bloody cry. Just as the azure beyond couldn't be a fainter dream, I hear my awaited response. Another scream... from the sickly gutter in which lies my only hope. He peers up at my fortune through the sewage with a wide eyed admiration and longing that only the forgotten can know. I love him for being so wretched, for I am not. Jeremy Be it in the truest form, or a desperate lack thereof, fail not to understand that the inspiration is love. |

this was the best of the ones i've read from you. i like the thought of the "azure" being so far away. i also like how the perspective changes to being thankful that you aren't as bad off as other people. good work! -alex now im alone, but not lonely like before |
