Shadows cast by trees Onto cold winter pavement If only our destination weren't so dismal Across the bridge The bay is covered in ice I take a few pictures Though I know they will only Turn out blurred from the speed of the car Music plays quietly So as not to wake our sleeping passenger If only the road weren't so loud Shadows cast by trees Onto cold winter pavement If only our destination weren't so dismal. |
