Standing In Silence...

Something’s chasing me,
Keeping me awake,
It won’t let me be,
I can’t make a mistake.

I tried to keep us close,
But still you drifted.
I though I knew you better than most,
But now our relationship is twisted.

So I take my silent flight,
Away from here and you,
Setting myself free tonight,
Of what I thought you felt too.

Now the shadows turn and run,
Running from my screaming voice.
I don’t like what I have done,
But I didn’t have a choice.
