soaking in the rain

I am waiting and unknowing    I am lazily too caring
   I am wondering when I’m going
   I am wanting to be daring
I am hoping for some passion
I am looking for some pain
   I am sick of all this fashion
   I am soaking in the rain
Well I never asked to have things simple
Always asked for more to gain.
   I am longing for things simple
   I am soaking in the rain
I prayed to you like a religion
Now you’ve formed the athiest
   I thought I had it figured out
   I never knew how much I’d missed
And I want this to end
and I know it’s a waste
   But I lay up at night
   And I picture your face
And I’m wanting to be with you
and I’m longing to end this pain
   I am sick of having issues
   I am soaking in the rain
I want my world to shine, grey and true
The sunset’s just as vain
   But I know that without you
   I’m just soaking in the rain.

you've made some veey powerful statements in this poem, i enjoyed it right down to the last line, thanks for the great read, be blessed and keep on writing

Now that is a nice line, the whole piece was simply great. This one just stood out to me. Captivating.
