A soul drifts the empty corridors.
Though there are others there.
They are lost, and masked.
Therefore, one cannot see them.

A soul slipping through the lies.
A soul not swayed by other stereotypes.
A soul who knows who she is.
A soul who doesn't get credit where credit is due.

A soul stiving to get free.
Trapped in society for a lifetime of the universe.
The corridors and masked souls close in.
Heading for the kill.

A lonley, trapt, and hunted soul flies.
With no destination.
Only escape.

Knowing the halls of life like the back of her hand,
The soul longs for the end.
Will no one pray for this soul?

Is the soul truley on her own?

I really like this one. i can feel so much when reading it. it's like i'm in a movie and i'm on a journey with this "soul" you speak of. very nice write.

Thank you. I tend to write more poetry when I am stressed, or depressed. My best work is written with those emotions. Thank you for your views.

You know, this reminded me of being in high school, but I know it doesn't end with graduation. You're not on your own at all....I related to this. And I usually write when I'm upset too--that's when I really need to express how I'm feeling. Nice work!
