We all differ in many ways, But live our lives the same. Not how we desire, But how our peers aspire us to. Most of us live in fear of never obtaining acceptance, We never release our true selves, How do people distinguish one from another, When we stand in the shadows of everyone else, Not aching to be seen, Yet yearning to be noticed. Not different, Just noticed. So a mask encases us, A mask that covers our real selves, For that anxiety of possessing rarities Seems much too inadequate. All of us must act the same, Never individually, For that would bring ruin. |
