I’m sitting at the sill, Looking past the mill. I see the world as it should be, Peaceful, beautiful, from sea to sea. Flocks of birds soaring through the sky, While little critters do scuttle right on by. Treetops grown into dreadlocks with time Full of scent; lavender, roses, sagebrush and thyme. Deserts look uninviting and hostile, But see the lively mouse; it’s actually quite docile. But I’m not there. It truly isn’t fair Because I’m sitting at the sill And looking past the mill |
