Thursday, August 10, 2006: I dont wanna be or become another teen statistic. Judged and underestimated. But they wouldnt relaize the realistics, because they dont see people. And I just wanns scream and shout and go belistic because we dont get a chance. And these teachers are supposed to be so helpful and great. But chalk is made from their degrating and hate. They take out their anger, stress, depression, and sadness on us. Liek it's our fault that tehy can't find a way to vent, and have no better way for their time to be spent. They only sip coffee, like a drup to forget... Short term. Only for a minute, while they read the current event. Then give us tons of homework, that we never learned about. Knwoing they they're to lazy to check it, so we just write numbers and formulas in Math and vocabulary sentences in language arts. 'Cause all they do is walk around the classroon, with their red pen and put checks on anything, nothin that's real. But it's real to steal someone else's paper. That's the deal. And I used to be, one of those kids, who stole papers and wrote anything, until I realized that I was wasting my time. Not learning anything. So now, I do my work, because oneday, they just might collect it. Not to mention, that my grades can't take anymore damage, because I ahve a future. And want one, too. So I gotta stay true, and stop lying in my handwriting. So we start to show-off and misbehave. And throw paper and crayons like we did back in Middle School. Because we're bored and fed-up, with the lessons and put downs. From the teachers, telling us to shut-up and drop-out. And beconme another teen statictic. |

Hi PoetAtHeart13, Welcome to piptalk! I hope you are enjoying the site as much as I have... I just wanted to say I thought this was an awesome poem on your part. Yet, I must admit that in some ways I read this as a rap... Don't know why, could be because I'm listening to rap right now, but it just seemed to fit... The title of this poem was great btw- I liked how it was able to capture you into reading the poem... Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to read more! "I pray thee, O God, that I |
