I never thought I'd meet someone
As brilliant as you
I never thought I'd meet someone
That made my dreams come true

I never thought in a million years
I'd meet someone like you
One that dried my tears, dismissed my fears
And one that wouldn't give through

I never ever thought about you
The way I do right now
My God I said I loved you
I did the mistake of thinking you loved me too

Why can't you be here for me
Just like I was to you?
But now my heart will never be free
And I blame that all on you

Hey VintageHollywood,

I liked this poem by you, but I thought in the first stanza it was a little repetitive, no offence.

I loved the second stanza though, I mean when I first started reading this poem I was thinking “aww, a poem about someone being in love and describing their significant other”, but I realized as I read more that it was really a poem about someone getting their heart broken.  I’m not making any sense… what I’m saying is this was a unique way to put together this poem, it kind of makes you sad at the end…

Also, I really, really, liked the rhythm in this! For me it had great flow, not really any rough spots.

Good job on this one. Keep up the good writes

Stargal

PS- I'm sorry I am once again late on posting a reply to this poem, but better late than never, no?

PPS- I don't know why no one has posted on this yet...wierd
