Smiles guiding laughter, love following right after. People livin' up to the fullest pace, then life turns around and throws reality in your face. Handling the pressure one step at a time, turning the tables on life line by line. Trying to hold up the best that you can, all by yourself, no helping hand. And everything seems to be ok for a while, until you meet someone with a breath-taking smile. How could something throw someone like this in your life, it's there but you can't have it, not with all the strife. Why does it happen to the people like me? The one that wishes everyone could see? I have to be grateful and honest and good, but If I was the same, I'd take what I could. ...but since I'm not like all the people around, I just smile while all my walls fall down. Life put us both in this game with no doubt, and if I could, I'd surely declare out... ...but with the way that you stand there, and the way you always seem to care... I just sit here and watch my life away, and maybe I'll stand out, some other day. Desire nothing except desirelessness. Hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes. |
