I have been loving you in secret I see you more than I show I cannot get you out of my mind I burn for you, though no one knows You have said that you love me I know this to be true But you are too young and innocent I cannot trust myself with you I have made myself a promise To God, I made a vow To keep myself pure for marriage So I can’t be with you now You tempt me beyond my convictions My heart, I fear will bust You’ve penetrated my very being Dear God, deliver me from this lust I long to know you better As a husband knows his wife But first we should marry And make this for life I can wait for you my darling In your absence and my despair Will you wait for me dear lover For your age to meet us here MWilson aka Lyn Eagleton 11/3/05 |

Oh the waiting is tough for sure, but so very worth it! I loved this poem and you did an excellent job with your rhyming. |
