I came here to have a conversation. But no one really wants to converse anymore. So I go and lay face up on your bed and listen to the frogs in the marsh. We distance ourselves from our hearts. I am guilty. I do it all all the time. I tie it to a string that drags behind me as I walk. and when I skip it gains some bounce and spring of hope in its scream of orange. but we grow tired in such affairs. With cold hands and stained pillow cases. Brush your teeth before you kiss me, you smell of alcohol. I slammed my finger in a door today and cursed like mad. We get really caught up in saying were busy. I go and sit on park benches and remind myself that's its all just organized nonsense. I feel a little empty, even in hearing these frogs in the marsh. We never needed a conversation, silence is preferable. |

exact thoughts exact thoughts...i really love your poetry, it's so interesting to read and try to analyze. lately i've honestly been trying to occasionally experiment with more symbolic poetry, and i think it kicks my bum, but oh well. you do it well, and i really do enjoy trying to figure out wtf you're talking about! lol, i loved the ending of this one, and the part about alcohol..very vivid, and i've had those thoughts before but never tried to put them into poetry. i think you're a very creative person, and i'm really glad you post so much. thanks berg At least we're still friends! At least we're still alive!--Alkaline Trio |

genius. raw and bleeding, heartfelt, and melancholy humorous genius. this was absolutely dazzling and the first thing i've read on PIP in a long time that i've really enjoyed as well resonated with. especially in the teen forum. i've used that imagery of stained pillowcases before... i loved this whole thing. it was eloquent and unmercifully honest, and it takes talent to do that. we are what we seek |
