I just wrote this as i went along. If the content is not understandable, forgive me. Forget Me, I'm Irish Help me find a breath among all the carbon, I'm suffocating on your kiss. Bless me with a curse in your favor as one would Arrest a starving beggar. Even those on death row get a last meal. Pursuade your hands to shut up tight The envelope stamped with arsenic. I can't help sniffing your perfume on the address. Oh my dear, funerals all around and none with great food! Let me be the host and there will be drinks on the house, But pray for a beautiful elegy. Public speakers lead the way. Oh Miss Pretty, have you forgotten my voice yet? (It rings among the hills on the Emerald Isle) |

Oh my dear, funerals all around and none with great food! Let me be the host and there will be drinks on the house, I loved these lines. This felt old fashioned and modern to me. wonderfully written. There's no reason I'm oversleeping |

thank you all. yes i love words that sound old fashioned. i am currently reading Dante's Inferno. That has been influencing my writing. Is that considered old sounding?? |
