You played me good, I bet it was so easy,
I must admit, I played the fool
You held my heart up by the strings, a mere puppet
All the things you said...they were bull.

You told me what I wanted to hear,
letting me fall into your trap of lies,
letting me believe you really did care,
You're just like all the other guys.

Make up your mind, it's never sure,
tell me what exactly do you want?
Is it me you want or is it her?
back and forth, how your mind taunts.

How could I even trust you again,
after how much you hurt me?
I would have been better off had
I just asked you to leave.

You could have at least told me,
let me save my pride.
Instead you were a coward,
hid it and then lied.

You led me to believe
that she meant nothing to you.
All this time you knew it a lie,
you knew it wasn't true.

You did it cause you were scared,
well how the hell do you think I feel now?
I want to just forget you exist,
But I can't seem to figure out now.

I wish I could make you hurt like this,
but I won't give you that pleasure,
cause no matter what you put me through,
my love for you you couldn't measure.

You can laugh, you can cry,
you can choose to ignore it,
but you lied to me, killed me inside,
you lost the 1 person you "cared" about,
now you have to live with it.

You tell him, girl! Unfortunately, I can relate. Been there, done that, his loss. Good write, thanks for sharing.

Can't say as I agree.  This is very good, and I can relate, as well.  So no, I can't agree at all.  (^.^)  Sorry to hear it didn't work out.  Glad to see such wonderful work from you, even as a result of less than happy events, because let's face it, the best poetry comes out of either love, misery, or sorrow.  Sorry he let you down, may luck treat you better in times ahead!
