Little Lina
isn't like your average 8th grader
see Little Lina has a very rare disease
All the kids poke fun,
thinking it's cool to be rude
What these kids don't realize
is she's got a heart of gold
and the more these kids make fun,
the more it turns cold
They push her around, and pull her hair
They all thinks its funny to see Little Lina cry
none of them understand it's killing her inside
All she wants is to make some new friends
but no one will give her the time of day
She runs home crying after school
She wishes she would die,
it would be better this way
That isn't something a 8th grader should say.
Her mother works two jobs
to pay for all her doctor bills
It tears her mom apart inside
to see the hurt in her daughters eyes
"Lina, i'm sorry honey kids can be so cruel
but they'll get what they deserve,
just you try and ignore them sweetie
You keep praying to god baby,
he will help you through this
Just know mommy loves you,
and to me you will always be precious."

It needs a little more work
but thanks for reading, feel free to comment.

......whoa.  I'm really speachless.  I see this happen on a daily basis to my younger brother, and it kills ME to see the effect it has on him.  This is such a true write; truer than many before it.  I hate how children (not so much younger than my grand total of 18 years) can be so cruel, and I curse myself everyday for being unable to help.  Truly a great poem, so connected to te reality of life.  Thank you for writing this.

Bullying is evil...I should know, I've been there on the receiving side. I suppose there will always be people who have to put other people down to make themselves feel better. I don't think it's limited to kids, just that if adults do it, they do it more subversively.
I like this poem.
Lizzie.

Thank you both very much for your comments. I hate it soo much to see how mean people are these days, i've never understood it. What makes them think they are better. But anyways again thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my write.
