You say you’re happy in the state you are You say you don’t want things to change I think it’s bad to always look before you leap Life is going to rearrange Your hesitation will just slow you down Take a chance and try to love again If you lose your reservations then you might find out There’s a better happiness you’re not yet in My arms are waiting here to catch you when you fall My love will hold you high up in the sky My strength is yours to use no matter what befalls Open up your wings and start to fly Have you never been alone in the dark of night Wondering why things are the way they are? Have you never looked up past the cold, black sky And made a wish for love on every star? Maybe I’m not quite the man you thought would come But maybe I’m the answer to your prayers Will we ever know if you don’t open up your heart And let me show you just how much I care? My arms are waiting here to catch you when you fall My love will hold you high up in the sky My strength is yours to use no matter what befalls Open up your wings and start to fly |

Ah, well, it actually is somewhat of a song, but I still consider it a poem as well. I wouldn't say it's improper to post in here. Thanks for all of the feedback. I like to write, and if it helps express someone else...I guess that works for me. |
