Reminders

As I walk down the street
I notice the little things around,
All the things that remind me of you,
I love them all I’ve found.

It’s those little things,
The whiff of your cologne,
Reminds me of that comfort
That I had once known.

It’s that shine in your eyes,
I see in the sun everyday,
The way your eyes sparkled,
With my mind they would play.

It’s that touch I feel,
Always hoping that it’s yours,
And knowing that it’s not
Leaves my heart hurt and torn.

It’s the songs I heard all the time,
When ever I was with you,
But now when I hear them I try to hide
the fact that I still don’t know what to do.

It’s the things you would say,
That I hear every once in awhile,
Wishing you would still say them,
Even if you left my heart in a pile.

Its little things that I see everyday,
That always remind me of you,
You can’t avoid them, they’re everywhere,
I’m stuck in the memory of you.

Erin! I don't think there has been one poem of yours that I havn't been able to relate to, and this is no exception. My favorite stanza was the last one (above).

i agree i can relate to all your poems! theyre all great, keep it up! i especially love....
